We serve
traditional or vegetarian cooked breakfasts, or we offer a range of lighter
options if you prefer. Breakfast is served in the dining room usually
from 8am-9am. Earlier breakfasts can be arranged if required.
First course is served buffet style: you may help yourself to orange juice,
yoghurts, prepared fresh grapefruit and melon, and cereals, or we can
prepare porridge if you prefer. Main courses are cooked individually to
your requirements - we will ask you the night before at approximately
what time you would like breakfast served, so that we can prepare it freshly
for you, rather than holding it warm over a long period. Bacon and sausages
are cooked in the Aga using no added fat or oil. Eggs are fried using
sunflower oil. If you are vegan or if you have any other special dietary
requirements then please let us know when you book. Finish your breakfast
with wholemeal or white toast, butter and homemade marmalade and jams
and unlimited pots of tea or cafetieres of coffee.
We take great pride in the quality of our breakfasts and wherever possible
serve local produce. Our traditionally dry-cured Welsh bacon is sourced
by our local butcher in Penrhyndeudraeth, who also makes our sausages
from Welsh pork. We use local free-range eggs from Criccieth and Trawsfynydd.
